The Indian cricket board will finalise the dates for the seven-match one-day series against Sri Lanka on September 6. Sri Lanka, who haven't played a Test in India for seven seasons, will have a split tour, with the ODIs being played in October-November, and the Tests in December.
"The Tours Programmes and Fixtures Commitee is to meet in Mumbai on September six to finalise the Sri Lanka series itinerary," a Board source said on Saturday. The Cricket Board allots venues on a national rotation formula and its sub-committee is expected to adhere to it while finalising the venues.
The Lankans would play the best-of-seven limited overs international series against India from October 25 to November 12. India are then slated to play the three-Test series against the Lankans between December 1 and 22 after being involved in a five-match ODI series at home against South Africa from November 17 to 29.
