Australian one-day international batsman Darren Lehmann will undergo a fitness assessment in Melbourne tomorrow (Sunday 18 August) after suffering a fracture to the little finger on this left hand.

Lehmann sustained the injury in the final first-class match of his overseas playing stint with English county side, Yorkshire.

He will fly to Melbourne to consult with Australian team doctor Trefor James and if declared fit will join his Australian team mates in Brisbane on Wednesday 21 August for a pre-tour assembly.

The Australians will spend five days preparing for the Travelex Tour of Kenya and are scheduled to depart for Nairobi on Monday 26 August.
