Godleman and Meaker penalised by ECB
Middlesex's Billy Godleman and Surrey's Stuart Meaker have both received penalty points under the ECB's discipline code

Middlesex's Billy Godleman and Surrey's Stuart Meaker have both received penalty points under the ECB's discipline code following separate incidents in the Second XI County Championship.
Godleman was reported by umpires Nick Cook and Martin Brown for a Level Two breach of the code (using language or gesture that is obscene or of a serious insulting nature to another
player, umpire, referee, team official or spectator) following an
incident in Middlesex's Second XI Championship game against
Gloucestershire on July 23-25, 2008.
Meaker was reported by umpires Michael Gough and Andy
Bullock for a Level Two breach of the code (bowling an accidental high
full pitched delivery that resulted in the bowler being disallowed from
bowling further in the innings) following an incident in Surrey's Second
XI Championship match against Yorkshire on August 12-15, 2008.

Both these players have received three penalty points, which will
remain on their records for a period of two years. The accumulation of
nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will result in an
automatic suspension.
