'The job's not done yet,' says Kasprowicz
Michael Kasprowicz enjoyed being back on a bouncy wicket after the flat offerings in India and recorded his best figures on his home ground

We walked off today feeling satisfied. It was nice to be bowling on a wicket that had a bit of bounce after the ones in India. It was good not to get carried away, but it took a while to find the right length.
When the runs aren't coming quickly it's always good. They are known for being patient and it's one of their strengths, so it was in our plans. It's the way they bat and the way they bowl.
Looking at the board it feels like we could roll up and get the final three wickets, but their line-up goes down a fair way and they are good players.
The job's not done yet. It's good to get out there in Brisbane and some early wickets helped me get in the game. The crowd was pretty good and vocal so it was good fun.
There was a little bit of movement before lunch. It's a fantastic, hard wicket. At the Gabba Day One is a bit slower with some tennis-ball bounce and Day Two is better to bat with a bit more turn.
I was at mid-on and it looked all right from where I was standing. [Walking off] is up to the individual. From Ricky's reaction he was pretty confident.
This one has a sore back. I'd like to think I'm more consistent.
I thought they bowled very well in the first session. For me personally it was a bit disappointing that I didn't capitalise and go on.
I was waiting for the decision of the umpire. I wasn't sure and stood my ground. When I was given out I walked off, no problem. I didn't see the catch. Adam Gilchrist said Ricky thought he caught it, then I had a chat with Craig McMillan and waited for the decision.
The first 10 or 15 minutes will be important with Jacob Oram and Daniel Vettori batting. I think we will take an easy day, pick up what we can and use it as a good building block. The good thing about today was getting used to the wicket and having a look at their bowlers.
When I've been over here before I don't think I've batted as well as I could have done. I wanted to do well against a very good Australian side and hope I can continue with that.
I think it's been like this through my whole batting career and I think it's even more so on day one of a five-day match.
With top-order batting I can't see much difference between batting at three or opening.
