KARACHI, Jan 1: Wasim Akram returned from England on New Year's
eve after a check-up for his injured shoulder. The speedster
said the latest injury had nothing to do with the operated
bowling shoulder. "It is a muscular injury near the neck," he
said from Lahore.
"The specialist was satisfied with the surgery and the way the
injury has responded to the treatment. He said the new injury
had nothing to do with it. It is a great relief," he said.
Akram said he had informed from England about his inability to
under take the tour of Dhaka. "The doctor advised me two-week
rest so I informed the concerned official about it.
"I want to play cricket and enjoy it," he said.
