10.55pm That's it from one of the best T20 games in the last 12 months. It is going to be hard to beat the drama of this game. Bangladesh will play the final against India on Sunday, so join us then.

10.32pm That is the wildest T20 finish, ever! Another brawl as the fielders leave the field. Courtney Walsh is out there, telling everyone to CALM DOWN. He may not have been shouting, but he should have. Mahmudullah after winning the game for his team has to tell the sub fielder to relax, there's his finger wagging in the sub fielder's face.

Nothing, nothing should take that away from Mahmudullah, that's as good a finish as you would find under sooo much more pressure. There was a verbal scuffle, I hear, between Kusal Mendis and the sub fielder Nurul Hasan, who even compounded the trouble after Bangladesh won. Bangladesh needed 12 off 4 when Shakib was calling back his players, Mahmudullah had taken his helmet off and made his way towards the boundary. Then, the tournament changed. Mahmudullah scored all of those 12 in one of the innings of the year finishing with 43 off 18 to take Bangladesh into the final.

It was Sri Lanka who made the running in the final 10 of the innings after a strong start from Tamim Iqbal and a good cameo from Mushfiqur. But as happens in T20s so often, the game swings, here, then there, then back here, then back there. Eventually, it is Mahmudullah and Bangladesh who have held their nerve (well, they didn't and they did).

Just FYI, there is just one above shoulder-height delivery allowed in an over in T20Is. Bangladesh felt they were two in the first two and there should been a no-ball, then according to Tamim, they thought they saw the third umpire's hand going up to signal a no-ball. And then he didn't. That was where all the drama was triggered.

Mahmudullah is the Man of the Match: "One of my best innings. When Shakib came back, it was a big boost. Plan to strike the ball as hard as I can. When Shakib got out, I was under pressure. The confusion was because it was the first bumper, but we should forget it, happens in the game."

Thisara Perera: "Very tough game, we are disappointed. We thought we were 10-15 runs short, 160 is still reasonable."

Shakib Al Hasan: "You can't expect more than that in a T20 game, so much excitement, emotion. Credit goes to SL, losing five early wickets. We kept our nerves in the end. I knew I was not 100% as far as batting is concerned. We always had healthy competition in the ground, but outside, we are friends. Emotions take over, I need to be careful as a leader of a team, I will be careful next time."

Tamim Iqbal: Very emotional finish, we saw the leg umpire signal a no-ball, we were complaining about the no-ball. We could have done it nicely. We won't create anything bad about this incident. I did a good job, but if I could have continued a but longer, but we won so all forgotten.

Udana to Mahmudullah, SIX runs

that's flicked for six! What a finish from Mahmudullah. That's right in the slot and Bangladesh make the final. Full on middle and leg, flicked away over backward square leg for six. Colombo is stunned, the whole Bangladesh team are out there doing the snake dance.

6 off 2. New gloves. One hit away from the final.

Udana to Mahmudullah, 2 runs

a low full toss, flicked to deep midwicket. The throw is not great and the batsman makes the second. Kusal had to collect wide and he missed the stumps at the batsman's end, would he have made it? Yes. That was a bad throw.

8 off 3

Udana to Mahmudullah, FOUR runs

into the gap at cover for four. Superb batting from Mahmudullah. Full and wide outside off, drilled over cover. Would have been wide had Mahmudullah left that, but he reaches out and finds the boundary

12 of 4. The Bangladesh sub fielders having an argument with the Sri Lankan fielders. All happening here in Colombo, the umpires getting in the way, so are the umpires. The umpires now have a chat with the two batsmen. Shakib now arguing with the umpires. Is Shakib calling his guys back? He is. What happened there? It's passion taking over. Bangladesh are hanging around by the boundary. If his players come off, this will be a forfeit. Bangladesh will therefore be disqualified. But Khaled Mahmud, a cool head, tells Mahmudullah to go back and finish the game. Wild scenes here in Colombo. I think Bangladesh are disappointed that there were two over shoulder-height balls.

Mahmudullah puts back his helmet and is ready to carry on.

Udana to Mustafizur, OUT

another short ball, another bouncer, Mustafizur misses and Mahmudullah runs and he makes his crease. Has Mustafizur made his? No he hasn't. Run out at the bowler's end. Was that also above his shoulder?

Mustafizur Rahman run out (†MDKJ Perera/Udana) 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

12 off 5 now. Kusal P may want to stand a bit closer.

Udana to Mustafizur, no run

excellent bowling, a short delivery on middle and leg. Mustafizur misses a pull, and the ball goes through to the keeper. But Sri Lanka want the review. No bat, excellent use of the short ball, not such an excellent use of the review.

12 off 6. What an end. 11 should take this to a Super Over. Mustafizur will have strike. Mahmudullah will have to do this all on his own. He will try to steal the bye if he gets the chance.

Perera to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, OUT

full and wide outside off, hit away towards mid-off. The fielder runs in, picks up and throws the stumps down at the bowler's end. More wild cheers. That means Mahmudullah won't have strike for the last over.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz run out (Shanaka) 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

A hit for Mehidy, he can go for it?

Perera to Mahmudullah, 3 runs

has he saved a run? Full and wide, that's a poor option with third man up. Mendis dives to his left, running around from deep cover. He does very well to save one. Three though.

Perera to Mahmudullah, FOUR runs

137 kph, awesome batting. Keeps his composure, picks his shot and execution is good. A full delivery outside off, Mahmudullah just lap sweeps the ball over short fine leg. Helped by the pace

Proudfoot: "The Pereras deserves this game!!"

19 off 9 now. Third man is up.

Perera to Mahmudullah, 2 runs

a low full toss on middle, skewed away towards deep square leg. Udana runs in and can't prevent two again.

It's very, very loud in Colombo

Perera to Mahmudullah, no run

sees the batsman coming and executes the yorker outside off, goes under the bat. Superb delivery. Excellent execution

Perera to Mahmudullah, 2 runs

a low full toss, Mahmudullah comes down and shovels the ball to deep midwicket. Dhananjaya de Silva runs to his left but can't stop two

23 off 12. Bangladesh are six down, but are still well in his. Thisara to bowl. A sensational finish.

Udana to Shakib, OUT

Shakib picks out fine leg. No one can believe that, Shakib is in disbelief, Udana is relieved. Full down leg, all Shakib can do is flick the ball straight to fine leg. Out comes the snake dance celebration from Dananjaya, this rivalry is heating up.

Shakib Al Hasan c Dananjaya b Udana 7 (9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 77.77
Udana to Mahmudullah, 1 run

sliced away again. Full and wide, angling the ball away. All Mahmudullah can do is carve the ball away

Udana to Mahmudullah, 2 runs

full and wide, drilled away past cover for a couple. That's good bowling, not much you can do about the result of that.

Udana to Shakib, 1 run

a low full toss down leg, helped along to fine leg, three singles to start the over. That should have been put away for four.

Udana to Mahmudullah, 1 run

full and wide, carved down to third man for a run.

Richard Mutch: "Perera has had a great day out...119 with the bat and 5 catches! ;)"

Udana to Shakib, 1 run

a yorker around off, worked to deep midwicket

29 off 18. Advantage Bangladesh now? What a semi-final

Nav: "If tied, is there a Super over? or will it be down to NRR?" Think there is a Super Over, not sure though.

Jeevan Mendis to Shakib, 1 run

Shakib again runs down to the pitch, gets too close and drives to long-off.

Jeevan Mendis to Mahmudullah, 1 run

slow around off, 80 kph, worked to midwicket for one

Jeevan Mendis to Mahmudullah, SIX runs

what a shot that is. Shimmies down to the pitch, gets there and drills the drive right back. Awesome power, sliced away over long-off for six.
